The Laxton Library offers a service to all health and social care staff, including the voluntary sector, and to students on placement. We can help you with your information needs in your daily work, in your professional development, in teaching and mentoring others, in research and audit and in developing services
Services
We can save you time by helping you find the information you need, giving you a quiet place to study, showing you how to use resources effectively. We are staffed from 11am to 5pm on Mondays, 9am to 5pm Tuesdays to Thursdays and 9am to 4pm on Fridays. We are closed over Bank Holidays weekends.
Resources
We provide access to both electronic and print resources.
Visit, email or phone us to access our collections of books, reports, journals, legislation and official publications.
If we haven’t got what you’re looking for just ask and we’ll do our best to get it for you – library staff love a challenge!
You can access our online resources from a computer at home or work, including:

· health and social care journals
· electronic textbooks
