26 February 2009

Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust would like to advise patients and visitors that the road entrance to Edith Cavell Hospital will be changed during the weekend (28 February – 1 March) as part of the ongoing construction work for Peterborough City Hospital and The Cavell Centre (new mental health unit).

From Monday 2 March a temporary traffic light system will be installed at the entrance to the Edith Cavell Healthcare campus on Bretton Gate.  The traffic light junction will be in place for approximately four weeks place and will control vehicles entering and leaving the site.   New road signs will also be in place during this period.

In addition, on Monday 2 March a small section of road by the Lucille Van Geest building on the site of Peterborough District Hospital (near the new City Care Centre and the Maternity Unit) will be closed from 9.30 am for a six day period to enable excavation and resurfacing work. There will be no through route from St Johns close through to Gables Drive during this time.
